This function LEFT() returns the leftmost len characters from the string str, or NULL if any argument is NULL.

This function LEFT() returns the leftmost len characters from the string str, or NULL if any argument is NULL.
This function is multibyte safe.
Syntax
> LEFT(str,len)
Arguments
