Data subscriptions¶
After another workspace publishes data to your workspace, you must subscribe before you can use it. After subscription, the data appears in this workspace’s Catalog as a read-only subscribed library. Subject to its permissions, you can query or preview it or use it in downstream capabilities such as knowledge bases.

Subscription list¶
The Subscribe tab lists data published to this workspace and supports searches by publication name or source workspace.

Subscribe and unsubscribe¶
Click Subscribe for the publication you want to use.
In the dialog, enter:
Object name (required): the local name in this Catalog. You can change the default.
Subscription location (required):
Catalog-level object → workspace root
Database → select a catalog as its destination
Volume/table → select a database as its destination
After confirmation, the data appears in the selected location as a read-only subscribed library.
When it is no longer needed, click Unsubscribe. After confirmation, the subscribed library is removed and this workspace can no longer access the data.
View a subscribed library in Catalog¶
Open Catalog and locate the object by the location and name selected during subscription.
Expand it to view its tables, volumes, and other child objects.
Open its details to preview samples in read-only mode.
The publisher maintains the contents and structure of the subscribed library. Access ends if the publisher revokes the publication or its validity period expires.

Usage notes¶
Before unsubscribing, confirm that no query, knowledge base, workflow, or other resource still depends on the subscribed library.
Subscribed libraries are read-only, so changes cannot be saved. To transform the data, first read it and write it to an object in this workspace.
For long-term dependencies, agree with the publisher on permanent validity or timely renewal.
Choose a clear local name when subscribing, optionally with a source prefix, to distinguish external data.
