Renewing an instance¶
Renewing means buying another term of the same instance configuration before or after the current term ends. For subscription (annual / monthly) instances, the system suspends service when the term expires. To avoid service interruptions, renew the instance to extend its lifetime. Even though the renewed term only takes effect after the current contract ends, payment is collected immediately when you renew. Once the renewal is complete, the instance’s expiration is automatically updated to the end of the new contract period. Note that a completed renewal is non-refundable since the funds have settled — to change services, follow the cancellation flow instead.
Renewal flow¶
There are two ways to renew:
When you create the instance, enable auto-renewal.
After the instance is up, click Renew / Auto-renew on the instance card and choose your renewal duration and payment method.
Once auto-renewal is on you can turn it off any time. The system processes the next renewal 9 days before the current term expires. Make sure your account has enough funds before the auto-renewal date to cover the cost.
