SHOW PROFILE

SHOW PROFILE is a MySQL statement that reports profiling information for statements; MatrixOne recognizes the syntax but does not support execution, so every run returns a NotSupported error.

Description

In MySQL, SHOW PROFILE reports profiling information for the most recently executed statement. MatrixOne recognizes the syntax but does not implement the feature: every execution returns the error SHOW PROFILE is not supported in MatrixOne.

The optional FOR QUERY query_id clause narrows the profile to a specific query. When it is present, MatrixOne includes the query id in the returned error message.

Syntax

SHOW PROFILE [FOR QUERY query_id] [LIMIT ...]

Arguments

SHOW PROFILE accepts the following optional clauses:

  • FOR QUERY query_id: requests the profile of the given query. MatrixOne does not support profiling, so this clause only changes the error message.

  • LIMIT ...: restricts the number of returned rows. Because the statement is not supported, this clause has no effect.

Examples

DROP DATABASE IF EXISTS show_profile_demo;
CREATE DATABASE show_profile_demo;
USE show_profile_demo;

-- Expected-Success: false
SHOW PROFILE;

DROP DATABASE show_profile_demo;
