query_pool_strict

query_pool_strict makes worker-pool scheduling fail closed instead of falling back to a local or legacy-compatible pool when the requested worker pool cannot be satisfied.

Description

query_pool_strict is a session-scoped boolean system variable. When enabled, a query fails if its requested worker pool cannot be satisfied, rather than silently falling back to a smaller or local pool.

It is disabled by default (value 0). The variable can also be set per statement with an optimizer hint such as /*+ SET_VAR(query_pool_strict=1) */.

Syntax

SET query_pool_strict = {0 | 1}

Arguments

query_pool_strict takes a single boolean value: 0 (disabled, the default) or 1 (enabled).
