Embeddings¶
Embeddings converts input text or supported multimodal content into vectors for retrieval and similarity calculations. Use a model ID visible to the current credential and follow the Embeddings request shape.
When using the official OpenAI SDK, explicitly set encoding_format="float". The current service does not provide stable compatibility with the SDK’s default Base64 vector form.
Read vectors from data[].embedding, and align batch inputs with the returned data[].index values. Validate dimensions and input limits for the selected model before indexing production data.
