Workspace |
Isolation boundary for resources and permissions; corresponds to a MatrixOne tenant. |
Catalog |
Hierarchy for organizing data assets: Catalog → database → table / volume → file. |
Table / volume |
Tables store structured data and physically exist in MatrixOne. Volumes manage unstructured files, whose contents are stored in object storage. |
Workflow |
A definition of processing steps and order. It can be created from the canvas, code, or natural language; the results are equivalent. |
WorkItem |
An execution unit in a workflow, such as document parsing, text chunking, or vectorization. Each WorkItem has defined input and output conventions. |
Knowledge base |
A selected set of tables and files with usage instructions, used as the data unit for AI retrieval and Q&A. |
Agent |
A task executor that runs in astra, consumes platform data, and performs actions in external systems. |
