Models, skills, tools, and knowledge bases¶
Decide whether you need more reference material, a reusable working method, or an external action before adding configuration. This helps keep the system prompt focused.

Example: reuse a terminology workflow¶
Define the agent’s responsibility in its prompt: organize product terms and provide source evidence.
Put the reusable steps in a skill: extract, deduplicate, explain, cite, and identify missing information.
Upload product manuals to a knowledge base and bind it to the agent.
If public information is needed, add a search tool and specify the permitted sources.
Validate the workflow in a conversation before automating it.
Resolve conflicting requirements¶
A skill that says to use only the current user input and never access external resources can conflict with a request to search a knowledge base. Edit or unbind the conflicting skill, then test in a new conversation. Binding more resources does not remove restrictions in prompts or skills.
