Configure Bocha Search¶
Bocha lets agents search public webpages and is suitable for Chinese-language information retrieval.
Prepare an API key¶
Sign in to the Bocha platform. Open API KEY management at the upper right of the overview, select Create API KEY, and copy the generated value immediately. Confirm that the account has the appropriate search API enabled and available quota. A search-page URL is not a key.
You need permission to create or edit tool configuration in the current MOI workspace. If the entry is missing or access is denied, contact the workspace administrator rather than using another person’s account.
Configure MOI¶
Open Resource Center → Tools.
Select Bocha Web Search, then Configure API Key.
Paste the key into the required API Key field and save. Use its raw value without a Bearer prefix, quotes, or surrounding spaces.
Return to configuration and select Test connection. Check for authentication, network, or quota errors.
Validate agent use¶
After saving, reopen the configuration to confirm it persists and run Test connection. Then bind the capability to the target agent, selecting the intended connection wherever an instance selector is provided. Inspect an actual tool call and compare its result with the target platform. A configured badge or a plausible answer alone is insufficient.
Ask: “Search for public MatrixOne product information and provide source links.” Check the search provider and returned URLs in the call record. A saved Bocha key does not force every search to use Bocha.
