Manage knowledge chunks¶
Chunks are retrievable units produced by document processing. Inspect them when the original is correct but retrieved content lacks context or contains unrelated text.
Find a chunk¶
Open the chunks area in the file preview. Search for a keyword and use the available sorting controls. The list displays information such as character counts and retrieval counts, helping identify unusually short, long, or frequently retrieved passages. Automatically generated and manually added chunks can be reviewed in the same area.
Retrieval counts describe usage, not correctness. Compare chunks with the original and actual answers.
Create a chunk¶
Select Create chunk.
Enter a complete, independently understandable passage, preserving the business object, key conditions, and scope.
Submit and check the chunk count and saved text.
Ask a corresponding question through an agent bound to this knowledge base and verify retrieval.
For example, a fictional test passage could read: “The Bluestone guide is this team’s document-review procedure. Its internal identifier is QS-0908.” Include the explanation as well as the identifier.

Keep manual changes grounded in reliable sources. For substantial business-rule changes, update the original too so its preview and maintained chunks do not contradict each other.
