Create an instance
This document will provide you with detailed steps to register and create a standard instance.
Step 1: Log in to the account and start creating
-
Log in to your MO Intelligence account and enter the instance management platform.
If you do not have a MO Intelligence account, you can start registering by clicking [Register and Login] (https://matrixorigin.cn/moi-signup), or refer to the registration guide of Quick Experience MatrixOne Intelligence.
-
ClickInstance in the menu bar to enter the instance list page, and then click+Create instance.
Step 2: Select an instance
MO Intelligence provides two instance types: Serverless instances that can be automatically scaled and standard instances with independent and stable computing resources. SelectStandard Instance here.
Step 3: Select a public cloud service provider and region
MO Intelligence supports the creation of standard instances on Alibaba Cloud.
| Geographical Region | Region Name | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Asia Pacific - China | East China 1 | Hangzhou |
Step 4: Configure the instance capacity
- Node Specifications
Currently, the MO Intelligence supports node specifications: 8 cores, 32GiB and 16 cores, 64GiB, with a range of 1-10 nodes. You can select the appropriate node specifications according to your business needs.
- Storage
MO Intelligence storage isPay by volume and is charged by the hour based on actual usage.
Step 5: Choose a paid method
For computing resources, MO Intelligence provides two payment methods: annual monthly and monthly payment and per-volume payment.
- Yearly monthly
You can choose the appropriate duration according to your needs. There will be a corresponding discount above the duration. The remaining days will be displayed on the upper right side of the instance card. The expiration time is 00:00:00 on the next day after the cycle. That is, when the remaining days are displayed as 0, it means that the instance will expire at 00:00:00 the next day. Manual renewal can be performed before the instance expires, but in order to ensure the continuity of the service and avoid service interruptions caused by forgetting to renew, we recommend that you enableautomatic renewal. You can turn on the automatic renewal button below the purchase time. The renewal period is the same as the duration you currently choose. The platform will initiate an automatic deduction 9 days before the instance expires. Please ensure that the account balance is sufficient at that time. For the created instance, you can also click the renewal button below the instance card to renew. The automatic renewal can be cancelled at any time after it is turned on. For specific payment methods, please check thestep seven below.
- Pay per quantity
Pay by volume and use it first and then charge it. The platform will deduct the consumption of the previous hour every hour.
Step 6: Set up access control
Administrator password
When creating a MO Intelligence instance, you need to set the password for the highest permissions administrator (admin) of the instance. In order to ensure the security of the database, the password must comply with the following rules:
- Contains at least 8 characters
- Must contain at least one number
- Must contain at least one capital letter
- Must contain at least one lowercase letter
Network Policy
MatrixOne Intelligence sets two network security policies

- Allow specified IP access It is recommended to set toto allow specified IP access. For details, please refer to the Set IP Whitelist chapter.
- Modify network policy In the console, select and click to enter the database instance you want to modify, click to enterNetwork Policy > Edit, you can switch between two network policies in the pop-up box.
Step 7: Name and create an instance
- The system will automatically assign a name to the instance. You can also customize the name, or click the instance icon after the instance is created to enter the overview page to modify the instance name.
- In the overview on the right, you can view the example plan in the above steps. After confirming that, click the confirm button on the right.
- If the payment method selected above is annual and monthly, the corresponding payment will be deducted when creating the instance, and the details of your instance configuration and payment method will be displayed on the payment page. We default to deduct the voucher balance first, and the insufficient voucher will be compensated by cash. You can also choose to customize the combination payment method, but custom combination payment method is not supported for the amount of automatic renewal. Please make sure your account has sufficient balance at that time, otherwise you will not be able to proceed to the next step.
- The instance will be created within a few seconds after clicking Create. You can confirm that the creation is successful by monitoring the instance status in the instance card. The status under creation isCreate, and the status under creation isAvailable.
Note
In addition to the fees displayed on the creation of the instance page, storage space fees, as well as object storage data request fees caused by using SQL and public network traffic fees will be deducted per hour based on actual usage.
